A Madison transgender Realtor, I have been helping clients buy and sell houses in Dane County, full time, for over 10 years. I have probably sold a house, duplex, condo, apartment building, vacant plot, vacation home, or investment property in every neighborhood in or town or surrounding Madison.
I am not the right REALTOR® for every person. Yet, for the people I choose to work with, and the folks who choose to work with me, there is no better REALTOR®, period. There are 3 reasons for this.
1) Negotiation
I love to negotiate. I am good at it. I am a sweetheart to deal with, and a barracuda for my clients. You want me on your side of the table not across from you. While I work collaboratively to produce the best possible deal for my clients, a win-win deal, I always make sure my clients win is the biggest it can be.
My favorite class as an undergraduate was “The Psychology of Negotiation,” and ever since then I have been fascinated with the process of negotiation and learning the ins-and-outs of the process, sharpening my skills, learning new techniques. I am the only Certified Negotiation Expert that I know of in Madison, I subscribe to (and read) “Negotiation Journal” an academic journal published by a consortium of Harvard, MIT and Tufts Universities. In brief, I am the best negotiator in Madison.
2) I am not interested in your commission
You are not a transaction. While I don’t do this for free, and I will earn a commission, any single commission is not enough to influence me significantly.
What I AM interested in, is making sure that your experience is so flawless, so smooth, so positive, that when you hear that one of your friends or relatives is thinking about buying or selling, you will eagerly recommend me to them. I’m not particularly interested in one commission - I want ALL of them.
I only spend a few hundred dollars a year on advertising. My clients send their friends and family to me.
3) Right the First Time
As a transexual woman I know that there are some people who take one look at me, and will never trust me with their greatest asset. If you are one of them, if you are looking for an ordinary REALTOR®, who knows that she has the luxury of second chances, keep looking. I am not right for you. I would be happy to recommend one of my ordinary colleagues to you.
