The information here is intended to help you use the Gay Realty Network search function effectively. Please let us know if you have any suggestions/additions!
Here are a few tips to help you get more out of it:
The search box is a great way to find groups of real estate professional profiles that you can’t find via the maps or WHERE ARE YOU BUYING/SELLING options. This field is set up to find records with every keyword used, to help you narrow down your search. For instance, gay real estate agent Tucson will only find listings that have all three of these words in the listing.
To narrow down a search for a phrase (like Santa Fe, or real estate agent), put double quotes around it: “Santa Fe” or “real estate agent” or “sellers” etc. This will cause the search script to look for exactly that phrase, and to ignore listings with both search words in separate parts of the profile.
Results will be listed in Country, State, City order, Within city, profiles that have a full page or picture on the GRN site are listed first.
When searching for a city, it is a good idea to also include the state or country to screen out other places with the same or similar city/place name. For instance, searching Portland Oregon will screen out profiles in Portland, Maine.
We also have a place-name only search – this is handy for when you want to limit the search to a particular country, state, or city (you can also use the WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO dropdown to accomplish the same thing). Check off the “Search by City, State or Country Fields Only” box, and the search will only look at those three fields. Note: This version of the search does not look at any other fields (title, description, etc) so it will not work with any keywords other than city, state and country (ie: a search for San Francisco gay real estate agent will pull up no results.
